Price by address

Starlink prices now depend on your address. Here’s what $100 covers at each one.

Same $100 at every price. What changes is how many of your bills it covers.

Rules checked Against Starlink’s own pages. How we check

In brief

Starlink now prices Residential plans by address, and starlink.com shows no Residential price until you enter an address[2]. The $100 doesn’t change with the price; how many bills it covers does. At $44 a month (Residential 100 Mbps, Starlink’s US list, Oct 29, 2026) it covers two full bills and $12 of a third. At $156 (Residential Max, Starlink’s US list, Oct 29, 2026) it pays $100 of one bill, leaving $56 to pay.

Every eligible plan gets the same $100[1]: Starlink sets the amount by country, not by your plan or price level.

As of , Starlink’s US data shows Residential 100 Mbps at $44 to $55/mo (levels seen in Starlink’s own price data since Oct 29, 2026), depending on your address[6]; Residential 200 Mbps at $68 to $85/mo (levels seen in Starlink’s own price data since Oct 29, 2026), depending on your address[6]; and Residential Max at $104 to $156/mo (levels seen in Starlink’s own price data since Oct 29, 2026), depending on your address[6]; your order page shows yours after you enter an address.

Starlink doesn’t publish which price an address gets, so your address may show a different price. Its help center: Pricing for US Residential service plans varies by region.

Your order page shows yours: Starlink says to enter your address, and click "Order Now" to preview the price breakdown in your area.

On Oct 30, 2026, at one public test address, the order page still listed the earlier standard prices of $55, $85 and $130 a month.

Illustration The $100 doesn’t depend on your price level: at a lower level it covers more bills. Levels: Starlink’s US order list, read Oct 29–Nov 3, 2026, and the order page for one public address, Oct 30, 2026 · bills = $100 ÷ the monthly level, our arithmetic

“Current” means Starlink’s data showed the level in the 30 days before this page was built. We keep every level we’ve seen: Starlink shows prices only for an address, so a level we haven’t seen again may still be offered. Bill 3 is the help center’s reading (once you’ve had service for two months[1]); Starlink’s terms say the $100 is credited to your second monthly subscription invoice[13]. No order under the current terms reaches day 60 before Dec 6, 2026, so neither reading has been seen in practice yet. “Next bill” uses our reading that credit left after one bill stays for the next: the part of the $100 that’s bigger than one bill appears to stay on your account as an “available balance” and come off the next bills (our reading: Starlink shows an available balance for each credit and never deducts more than a statement’s total, but doesn’t spell out the carry-over for referral credit)[14].

Why your price needs your address

Today starlink.com shows no Residential price until you enter an address[2]. Starlink’s instruction for seeing your price is to enter your address on starlink.com and click “Order Now”[3]. The second screenshot is what one public address showed on Oct 30, 2026: the older standard prices, which is why the table keeps them.

Why your price differs

  • A price level for your area. US Residential prices vary by region[4], and Starlink’s price list names its Residential products by demand level (our reading of the product names). Starlink says the Residential 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps plans are only available in select areas[2].
  • Three half-price area discounts. Cameron County, Texas area: 50% off Residential service, applied automatically by service address; no upfront hardware cost for new customers[7]; Vermilion Parish, Louisiana area: half-price Residential service, applied automatically[8]; eligible parts of the Memphis area: half-price service, applied automatically[9].
  • Promotional pricing at some addresses. In some areas a new customer is offered a lower service price for a set period, such as 6 or 12 months, visible only on that address’s order page at starlink.com[10].
  • A one-time demand surcharge, which isn’t a price level. Busy areas can carry a one-time demand surcharge at purchase or activation, set by the address and plan[11]; Starlink’s invoice glossary puts it at up to about $1,500[12]. It’s charged once, not every month.
  • Older standard prices at some addresses. On Oct 30, 2026, at one public test address, the order page still listed the earlier standard prices of $55, $85 and $130 a month[5]. For comparison, Starlink’s US order list with no address entered showed $49.50, $76.50 and $143 a month on Nov 3, 2026.

Moving can change your price: prices follow the service address (our reading), an area discount stops if you move out of its area (moving out of the eligible area ends the area discount on future bills[7]), and a new service address must be in the account's original country[4].

The dated news item: Starlink now prices Residential plans by address.

Roam plans and the Mini

Roam has one national price per plan: Roam 100GB $55/mo[15], Roam 300GB $80/mo[15] and Roam Unlimited $175/mo[15], on Starlink’s US list. Your address doesn’t change it, and all three are eligible for the $100.

Starlink Roam plan cards: Roam 100GB from $55 a month, Roam 300GB from $80, Roam Unlimited from $175.

Standby doesn’t count toward the $100

The $100 comes only if your service stays active and in good standing, without a break, through two complete monthly billing cycles[13], and Starlink’s terms count only time continuously subscribing to a high-speed service plan (excludes Standby Mode). So switching a new kit to Standby can cost you the $100, and the person whose link you used loses theirs too (our reading of the terms).

The trap: Standby right after delivery. Some buyers, often of a Mini on a Roam plan, switch a new kit to Standby as soon as it ships or is set up, to pay less until a trip. Reported In one r/Starlink thread (Aug 28, 2026), a buyer about to order a Mini through a referral link asked about pausing it until needed, and a reply described switching to Standby as soon as the kit shipped. In another (Oct 10, 2026), a reply pointed out that with a referral, both sides lose the reward. Standby has its own monthly fee, too ($10/mo press report[20]).

Paying for a Mini in installments? On Roam, Mini installments allow switching Roam plans or Standby[16], but the referral terms still don’t count time in Standby.

Every rule, in Starlink’s exact words: the referral rules, explained.

Mini in installments. A Mini can cost nothing at checkout and $12.41/mo[15] for 12 months. Starlink says credits can be spent only on monthly service charges[17], and doesn’t say whether an installment line counts, so the calculator leaves it to pay.

Mini offers for people who already have home service. These are separate from the referral and aren’t for new customers: Residential Max subscribers can get a Starlink Mini rental with no monthly fee and 50% off eligible Roam plans[18] (Starlink says that Residential Max offer may not be combined with other offers[18]), and where offered with Residential 100 or 200, the Optional Mini Kit for Travel gives 20% off eligible Roam plans[19].

Still unsure? Questions, answered

Why won’t Starlink show a price until I enter an address?
Because Residential prices now depend on where the service is: US Residential prices vary by region[4], and starlink.com shows no Residential price until you enter an address[2]. Starlink’s instruction for seeing your price is to enter your address on starlink.com and click “Order Now”[3]. You don’t have to order to see it, and nobody here needs your address.
Which price level will I get?
Starlink doesn’t publish which level an address gets or how it decides. Press reports describe the prices as “dynamic”: Starlink has told some customers by email that its Residential prices are “dynamic”, set by network capacity and demand (as reported by the press, Oct 29–30, 2026) press report[21]. Your order page shows your level once you enter the address, and that’s the price that counts.
Is the $100 smaller at a lower price?
No. Every eligible plan gets the same $100[1]: Starlink sets the amount by country, not by plan or price level. At a lower price it covers more of your bills; at a higher one, fewer. Every level, side by side.
Will my price change later?
It can. Starlink gives at least one month's notice before materially adverse changes[22], and Starlink says it emails you about a price change before the billing date the new price applies to[23]. If you have promotional pricing, a price increase waits until any promotional or discounted pricing period ends[23]. For Residential, Starlink’s email, as reported, says prices will be reviewed about every quarter and can go down as well as up press report[24]. The $100 doesn’t depend on your price either way.
Do the older prices still exist?
At one address, they did: on Oct 30, 2026, at one public test address, the order page still listed the earlier standard prices of $55, $85 and $130 a month[5]. For comparison, Starlink’s US order list with no address entered showed $49.50, $76.50 and $143 a month on Nov 3, 2026. Starlink shows prices only for an address, so a level we haven’t seen again may still be offered somewhere. That’s why the table keeps every level we’ve seen, with the date we last saw it.
Does Roam count for the $100?
Yes. The eligible plans are Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps, Residential Max, Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited (plus the older Residential and Residential Lite)[1], and Starlink adds that not every plan earns the new-customer reward; Starlink says it shows the eligible plans at sign-up[13]. Roam has one national price per plan, so the address question doesn’t apply: Roam plans and the Mini.
