What a working Starlink referral link shows now: “$100 each—cash or service credit”

Oct 30, 2026 screenshots: a working referral link shows a green panel saying you each get $100, cash or service credit. Here’s what it doesn’t tell you.

The short answer

What does a working link show?
With a working referral link, starlink.com shows a green banner on the landing page and the same line under Referral Code Applied on the order page: By signing up with this code, you and your friend will get $100 each—cash or service credit. In our Oct 9, 2026 screenshot the panel read you’ll get $100—cash or Starlink service credit. A code that isn’t valid shows an amber Referral Code Not Applied panel instead. On a phone the panel sits just above the Checkout button; on a computer, just below it.
When did we see it?
Seen Oct 30, 2026 on starlink.com with a public test address and no order placed. The line comes from Starlink’s server, so it can change without notice.
Who sees the panel?
New customers ordering through a referral link on starlink.com.
What should you check before you pay?
Before you pay, look for the green panel next to Checkout. Then remember what it doesn’t say: the $100 comes after two full billing cycles, not at checkout, and the order summary has no $100 line.
What doesn’t the panel change?
Nothing comes off at checkout; the reward comes as account credit by default (or cash where offered) after two full billing cycles, and Starlink still decides whether an order qualifies.

Three things you can see

Green Referral Code Applied with the $100-each line: the link is attached to this order. Amber Referral Code Not Applied: the code isn’t valid or doesn’t apply to this order type; the order still goes through, without the reward. No panel at all: no referral is attached in this tab. See each one, with dated screenshots.

The order summary shows no $100

At our test address the summary listed the plan, a $0 rental kit, shipping and tax, and noted that the first month of service is charged at activation or 7 days after delivery. The $100 isn’t a line on this page: it arrives later as credit on a monthly bill, or as cash where your account offers it.

The panel shows that the link is attached, not that the order qualifies. For a rental order like this one, Starlink’s referral terms say the new customer must purchase a Starlink Kit and subscription directly from www.starlink.com, and Starlink has never said if a rental qualifies.
